Midland Heart

Project title:  Midland Heart / Care & Support –  Window & Door replacement programme.

Project Details: Supply and install windows and composite doors to scattered housing stock across the Midlands. Working on individual houses through to sheltered developments.

The supply and installation of window and composite doors for both Midland Heart general needs housing and their Care & Support service that covers over 31,000 homes. The mission of Care and Repair is to provide services to some of the most vulnerable individuals in society by creating an environment where people can transform their lives, enabling them to maximise independence. Sovereign Group were appointed to provide window and door replacements to sheltered and supported properties for Care and Support and also general needs housing stock providing around £1.8m of works per annum.

Sovereign Group we were appointed to the scheme and requested if £400,000 of window and door refurbishment could be accomplished in 9 weeks all work were completed on time and within budget. The client’s objective was to ensure budget certainty for the following year. We resourced the project appropriately with a dedicated delivery team made up of 76% local people and manufactured and installed a total of 800 items in the 6 week period.

High proportion of vulnerable residents: Although we also cover general needs stock we have undertaken a large volume of work on elderly care homes and supported housing for those with physical, learning and mental health issues including specialist projects for residents with a wide range of vulnerabilities including:
Sovereign Group have maintained Key Performance indicators in 6 areas of over 3% above the KPI Target for the project.
