PROJECT OVERVIEW
Sovereign Group were awarded the contract through the LHC framework agreement to supply and fit windows & doors to occupied properties, including sheltered schemes and multiple story blocks across the SW of England with planning permission carried out as part of our service (Sovereign are FENSA registered).
MEETING THE NEEDS OF OUR CUSTOMERS
Sovereign have gained valuable experience over the years working closely with Stonewater. Our surveyors now undertake assessments on each individual property automatically taking into account the need for low thresholds due to the high number of elderly residents. The doors offered by the client are standard, however, Sovereign add additional door furniture, for example, spy holes, door chains and knockers as extra security measures (for the visually impaired and vulnerable) residents at no additional cost.
There have been a number of innovation and improvements to the Raglan scheme most at no extra cost, first, we used Veka Recycling on this project which recycled the windows (including frames) that we removed from existing properties with skips provided free by Veka generating further savings for the client, secondly we offered our Infinity profile. This profile is extruded from material containing 80% recycled profile. This reduces the carbon footprint by 80% against using virgin material.
VALUE MANAGEMENT
Although the client specified ‘C’ rated energy windows we upgraded these to ‘A’ rated without any increased cost to the Raglan. This gave the individual resident an average saving of £110.00 per annum from their energy bill.
